Farming Alliance and Network
Hatchgrove develops alliances with various coconut farmer organizations in the Philippines. We work in close collaboration with small farms and indigenous groups to provide the most nutritious, purest specialty ingredients and ensure adoption of sustainable agricultural practices. Hatchgrove is a proud founding member and supporter of nonprofit groups and networks. Our farmers’ network include:
Coconut Nectar-based Farmers/Processors: Specialize in the propagation and production of coconut sap products, including low-glycemic coconut sugar, coconut syrup, coconut wine, and coconut vinegar/seasoning.
Coconut Nut-based Farmers/Processors: Utilize the nut of the coconut tree as the main raw material. Several food products can be derived from the nuts, which include coconut cream, coconut milk, virgin coconut oil, coconut flour, desiccated coconut, and coconut water.
Crop Farmers/Processors: Plant and propagate root crops such as taro plants, sweet potato, cassava, ube, specialty rice, and many other crops indigenous to the Philippines.
Coconut Intercropping Farmers: Farm and plant crops between coconut trees, which can include cacao, ginger, pineapple, and banana.
Fruit-Tree Farmers/Processors: Specialize in tropical fruit-bearing trees such as banana, mango, soursop, calamansi (Manila lemon), dalandan (green mandarin), pineapple, guava, jackfruit, and other tropical fruits.
Nut Farmers/Harvesters: Grow nuts such as peanuts, cashew, and pili (canarium ovatum).
